Wish I had done more research
I have not been very impressed with this app so far. The pros are that it is easy to upload pics and even tech-challenged folks seem to have no problem using it. Its also cool that everyone can see everyone elses pics. However, the notifications are slow and I dont find out that pics have been added until I go into the app and look. It is also difficult to move pics to albums, and there does not seem to be much point to having albums at all since they are difficult to navigate. The user interface feels clunky and really devoid of useful features. I like that there is a desktop webpage that ties in with the app, but it isnt any easier or better to use than the app.
Most irritating of all, though, is that I didnt find out until it was too late that WedPics charges a minimum of $20 to download the pics that are submitted. I can download low-quality versions of the pics for free, but they deliberately degrade the image quality so that the pics look like crap. If they had been up front about this charge before I started my account, or if they had simply charged a fee for the app I would not be so upset. But this makes me feel like I got swindled and they are holding my wedding photos hostage. I would be happy to pay a fee that I agreed to ahead of time, but this is more like paying a ransom and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
